How the site is built

Alcoholic Compass is a static site: every page is an HTML file written ahead of time and served as is. There is no account, no form to fill in, no database about you.

Recipes, maps and lists are worked out when the site is built, not while you read it.

What stays on your device

One thing only: your answer to the age question, kept in the browser’s local storage so you are not asked on every page. It never leaves your device and you can clear it by clearing the site data.

Analytics and advertising

TODO — the site currently uses no analytics and shows no advertising. The ad slots you see are empty boxes. When an ad network is switched on, this policy must list the provider, the cookies it sets, the legal basis and how to withdraw consent.
